Indrapati Mahavidhyalaya, at Gairwah, in jaunpur District, run by Indrapati edcation Society Gairwah, was started in 1996-97. The UGC, accorded Permission to the Indrapati Education Society to start a private unaided Degree College at Jaunpur, District to cater to the Educational needs of backward rural people around Jaunpur. Indrapti Degree College is affiliated with V.B.S.P.University, Jaunpur, and the University was permitted the College to start the following Courses with different subject combinations from the Academic year 1996-97.
